Deepest gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva
Deepest gratitude to all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Dharma Protectors
Deepest gratitude to Master Jun Hong Lu
Today, I, Heng Li Li would like to share my humble experience after practising Guan Yin Citta.
One day in December 2015, my sister passed me a Mantra Booklet and encouraged me to perform recitation and my aunt explained to me about the power of the Little House which can be used to help the deceased to ascend to a higher spiritual realm. I thought it was a good opportunity to relieve me of the pressure I had been holding on for the past 15 years, that is to help my miscarried child to ascend to a higher realm. From that day on, I almost never ceased in performing recitation. At first I would often dream of someone chasing me, dream of hair or someone asking me for money, and so on. I desperately recite the Little House and offered them in batches.
Finally, I dreamed that my child had gone to a higher spiritual realm. No words could describe how good I felt. I cried as I knew that I could finally let it go.
Changes after practising Buddhism
Before encountering Guan Yin Citta, I would frequently flare up for no reason and there was a great deal of suppressed stress within me. My pace of life was quick to the point where I was unable to unwind even during the weekends. As such, I would explosively release my pent up stress all at once.
However, after 9 months of spiritual cultivation along with Guan Yin Citta, I note how that I have learnt to become more laid-back, tolerant and think from the perspective of others. My mood has since been greatly lifted and I now have a positive outlook on life.
All those around me have remarked about how I have changed to become more likeable! Whenever I am faced with challenges, I believe that as long as I grit my teeth to persist in recitation, nature will take its course and all troubles will eventually come to pass.
Sharing of efficacious occurrences
Once I caught a cold. My throat felt very itchy and I constantly felt like coughing. At that time, I had a dental appointment for a tooth filling. When I was waiting for my appointment, the itchiness of my throat was triggering coughs and I wondered if it would be better to reschedule the appointment. I was at a loss and prayed to Bodhisattva to bless me such that I would not cough during the dental procedure.
When it was my turn to lie down for the procedure, my throat miraculously felt fine and I did not cough or feel itchiness in my throat throughout the 30 minute filling! This is simply marvellous and I could not believe it! Guan Yin Citta is true beyond doubt and Bodhisattva grants all wishes!
At 1:15am one night, I felt waves of discomfort from my stomach and I was breaking out into a cold sweat. I went to the toilet twice and had two bouts of diarrhoea, even vomiting once! The food that I regurgitated was completely undigested and stank. My stomach continued to hurt and I remained in a cold sweat, unable to fall asleep despite all my efforts.
I then prayed and called multiple times for Bodhisattva to save me as I was in great pain and recited the Great Compassion Mantra. Before finishing one recitation of the mantra, I had already fallen sound asleep and woke up only when my alarm rang. There was not a hint of pain when I woke up and I was able to head to work! This is truly unbelievable! Bodhisattva is immeasurably compassionate!
I work as a kindergarten teacher. Prior to encountering Guan Yin Citta, the children would all be reluctant to approach me. To those children, I was as irksome as a pile of dung. However, after spiritual cultivation, those children would be attracted to me just like bees are attracted to flowers.
I remember once there was a baby boy of 3 months. His mother briefly described his daily resting habits and character to allow for the teacher to understand and care for him better. His mother cautioned that his wailing may be loud to the point where a person could hear him from the second floor. My heart lurched and I thought that tough days are ahead.
Upon witnessing how my colleagues handled the situation of the boy, the only word fit to describe it is ‘pitiful’. The boy was constantly crying and the sound of his cries became the soundtrack of the childcare centre. I dreaded my turn to care for him the next month.
Time flies. It was soon time for me to care for the boy. On the first day, I recited the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots and prayed to Bodhisattva for blessing and protection to resolve any negative affinity between me and the boy. Miraculously, the boy did not cry incessantly that day and was an ease to care for.
I originally wished to instantly write a testimonial on Master Lu’s blog but I held back, thinking that perhaps his good nature was just a fluke. Subsequently, I recited the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots daily. I was able to cajole the baby to sleep easily. All my colleagues were stunned, asking why the boy seems to turn into a different baby as soon as he is in my hands!
I merely smiled, and replicated the effects of reciting the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots for other babies. I know that this is the power of Buddhism. The efficacy of the Mantra to Untie Karmic Knots is simply too impressive!
Efficacious sharing about how learning Buddhism and performing recitation protects my family as well
My younger sister has two children, a boy and a girl. Both children had an unabating high fever and the boy was admitted to the hospital. Upon hearing about this, I made a vow to recite 49 times of the Great Compassion Mantra and the Heart Sutra respectively, praying to Bodhisattva to protect and bless my nephew and niece for their fever to decrease and to grant them a quick recovery.
I vowed to share my testimonial afterwards.
The next day, my sister told me that the temperature of my nephew had stabilised to 37.5 – 37.8 degrees. Although he had to remain under observation in the hospital for another day, if his condition continues to improve he would be discharged.
I was not yet relieved and recited another 49 times of the Great Compassion Mantra and Heart Sutra respectively for the child. He was finally discharged from hospital the following day. As for my niece, her fever remained constant at 39 degrees. If the fever did not abate, she would also be sent to the hospital.
Upon hearing about this, I made a vow to recite 49 times of the Great Compassion Mantra and the Heart Sutra respectively. She was discharged from hospital after a day. During my mum’s afternoon nap, she dreamt that Guan Yin Bodhisattva said to her, “It’s alright, it’s alright. They are alright now.”
Performing recitation helped my mother to get past karmic obstacles
On 4 April 2019, I received notice from my sister that spoke of how the nerves in my mother’s eye had been severely damaged. If an operation was not performed, she could possibly lose her eyesight. As such, a laser operation was scheduled on 17 April 2019. I was unable to obtain leave from work to be by her side, adding to my sadness.
My anxious self knelt before Guan Yin Bodhisattva and made the following vows:
- To transfer the meritorious blessings from 2 months of being a full vegetarian to my mother
- To offer 21 Little Houses to the karmic creditor of my mother
- To offer 2 pieces of the Self-cultivation Record Forms of the Cundi Dharani
- To share my testimonial
- To transfer one week’s worth of meritorious blessings from online Buddhist propagation to my mother
- To perform meritorious deeds on behalf of my mother by printing Buddhist scripture booklets
On the morning of the surgery, I recited 108 times of the Cundi Dharani. In the afternoon, my younger sister sent a message saying that the surgery was completed successfully. On 30 April 2019, she went for another surgery to correct the thickness of her retina in one eye.
I made the following vows again:
- Recite 7 Little Houses for the karmic creditor of my mother
- To offer monetary support to the 2019 Singapore Dharma Convention on behalf of my mother
- Recite 2 pieces of the Self-cultivation Record Forms of the Cundi Dharani
On the day of the surgery, I recited 108 times of the Cundi Dharani. The surgery went smoothly. On the following day, my mother told me that her eyes hurt shortly after the surgery and she tried to fall asleep by eating painkillers. However, she was unable to do so despite all her efforts.
She then prayed and called for Bodhisattva to save her multiple times. Shortly, she dozed off and even dreamt of a Bodhisattva clothed in white who touched her head to help stop the pain. When she woke up, there was not a hint of pain. Deepest gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva and I am filled with dharma bliss.
After 3-4 years of spiritual cultivation following the methods of Guan Yin Citta, all my troubles regardless of size have been resolved. From family to work, I bore witness to the many positive changes that this true dharma door has brought to my life.
As long as we persist in the Three Golden Buddhist Practices:
– reciting Buddhist scriptures,
– making vows and
– performing life liberation,
our lives will definitely be smooth-sailing.
Deepest gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for allowing such a fantastic dharma door to be bestowed upon us in this age of dharma decline. Life and the dharma are rare and precious. As such, we should cultivate well so as not to waste this wonderful affinity.
Deepest gratitude to all.
If my sharing today is improper in any way, may the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva forgive me, may all Heavenly Dharma Protectors forgive me, may everyone forgive me
