Many parents tend to worry about educating their children, especially in this Age of Dharma Decline where negative affinities come to fruition and societal issues are rampant. How can we help our children to avoid these unhealthy external influences, assist them in their growth, instill values of filial piety and sensibility, and help them to gain wisdom? Master Lu has already paved a path for children to learn about Buddhist cultivation and recitations from a very young age so that they are blessed by Guan Yin Bodhisattva as they grow. In this way, the parents will not need to worry about the physical and spiritual health of their children. Singapore Guan Yin Citta Practice Centre conducts the Buddhism class for children to allow them to gain exposure to traditional Chinese culture, Buddhist cultivation and recitations as well as the cultivation of compassion. The children were conscientious in their recitation practice on the ‘Great Compassion Mantra’ and ‘Heart Sutra’ and made their way to perform in the “A Path to Enlightenment” Sharing Session at Kallang Stadium in 2017. Their devotion in practising Buddhism has inspired many adults who have not started to learn Buddhism. Gratitude to these little Buddhist friends. Indeed, they are Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s thousand hands and eyes as well as our future successors to inherit and promote Buddhist culture.
