SUFFERING IS PREVALENT, SO HOW CAN WE BECOME LIBERATED?

Master Jun Hong Lu: Do not lose your bearings in the midst of your worries in the hustle and bustle of this mortal world.

We are haunted by worries every day.  We are unhappy over something that happened today, dissatisfied over what we may hear the following day, and dispirited about the negative treatment we might receive from our boss the day after next.  As suffering in our lives is so prevalent, how can we become liberated from it?  Our Buddhist practices: performing recitation, making vows, and life liberations may all seem like forms of suffering for us.  However, it is the means to being granted liberation in the end; while for non-Buddhist practitioners, suffering is for life.

A person who gives thought to how they wish to live in their advancing years while protecting their spiritual wounds from having to experience further torment is a true cultivator of Buddhist spirituality and loyal to the reality of life.
