Testimony posted on Master Jun Hong Lu’s blog (Posting 675)

Over the past one week, hundreds and thousands of disciples and Buddhist practitioners of Guan Yin Citta have been shaken up by news of Master Lu’s health taking a turn for the worse.
Desperately wanting to turn the situation around, on behalf of our beloved Master, many of us went all-out to perform assisted recitation, make great vows, and etc. Alas, we were still unable to keep our revered Master by our side.
The Saha World will sorely miss a distinguished spiritual guru!
Those awe-inspiring dharma conventions that once captivated the hearts of countless followers are now a thing of the past!
This sudden turn of events marks the end of suffering that our Master had to undergo for shouldering the weight of karma of sentient beings. The burden and bondage that this mortal body once inflicted on Him will now cease to exist for good.
In return, we will have a Master who will dwell in heaven in eternity!
Also, we will now have one additional Buddha who will watch over us from above!
Scenes of past dharma convention sites, including the discipleship ceremony, remain fresh and vivid in my mind. Alas, everything is just like passing clouds, nothing but a dream, illusion, bubble and shadow; none of these can be retained except in our memory.
By right, I should rejoice in the fact that our Master has attained Buddhahood with perfection. But, I am still gripped by an indescribable sorrow. Whenever His voice, face and smiles flash through my mind, or even the mere act of gazing at the dharma portrait of Master Lu, I can’t help but tear up.
Knowing that nothing in this world will stay in perpetuity, and that all dharma is empty and illusory does not seem to ease my inner pain and my reluctance to let You go.
“I’m sorry Master for being so lacking and not being steadfast in my spiritual cultivation. There is simply so much room for improvement. For this, I would like to repent to Master”.
I would like to congratulate Master for attaining a perfection of merits and Buddhahood. You will forever remain the spiritual pillar of all Buddhist practitioners of Guan Yin Citta.
In fact, You are our eternal pride!
Out of compassion for sentient beings, our Master dedicated His life to the welfare of others. Demonstrating sheer altruism and the spirit of immense compassion for sentient beings, His dharma propagation will long endure in this world.
Come to think of it, I’m extremely fortunate to have chanced upon a Master like You, and my biggest blessing is embarking on my spiritual cultivation journey with Guan Yin Citta.
As a disciple, I will etch on my heart the grace and kindness bestowed upon me, keep your words of advice in view, and revere Master and Your teachings. As I walk the path of the Buddha, I will maintain the right faith and right mindfulness, strictly abide by Your teachings, and treat the precepts as my navigator in life.
The ever so enlightening discourses and final words of advice of Yours will always serve as a force to propel us forward as we track the footsteps of the Buddha and Master in our quest to transcend the cycle of rebirth in this lifetime! We look forward to repaying the kindness of the Buddha.
There are no words that can fully encapsulate my deepest gratitude and adoration for you.
You will forever be in my mind and held close to my heart.
I hereby vow to never abandon my Buddhism practice.
If my sharing is improper in any way, I would like to seek forgiveness from Namo Shakyamuni Buddha, the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva, all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dharma Protectors and Master Jun Hong Lu.
