Question: On the Enlightenment Day of Guan Yin Bodhisattva (8 August 2020) and the birthday of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Great Strength Bodhisattva, Da Shi Zhi Pusa) (31 August 2020), how many times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance can we recite? What is the maximum number of Little Houses can we offer?
Answer: You may recite up to 49 times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance. As for the various types of Little Houses (for your karmic creditor, a miscarried child, a deceased person who appeared in your dream and the karmic creditor of your house), the total number should not exceed 49. However, for special cases, you may offer a maximum of 69. Little Houses recited for others are to be taken into account separately.
