ARE WE ALLOWED TO OFFER LITTLE HOUSES AFTER SUNSET ON SPECIAL DAYS?
Caller: On special days such as the commemoration dates of Bodhisattvas, is it fine to offer Little Houses after sunset? I understand that it is not advisable to do so on normal days. However, does this also apply to special days such as commemoration of Bodhisattvas, the 1st and the 15th days of lunar month?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Bear this in mind – it depends on one’s spiritual energy and this differs from person to person. Let me ask you this: Given that you are not supposed to offer Little Houses at night, do you think Master is able to do so?
Caller: Of course, you can.
Master: Why is it that I can but not you?
Caller: This is because Master has great spiritual energy.
Master Jun Hong Lu: In other words, your spiritual energy is still lacking.
Caller: Got it, Master. If that’s the case, I shall not offer Little House at night.
