WHEN BEING SCOLDED OR BULLIED, ONE REPAYS HIS KARMIC DEBTS

Question: Is it true that being scolded by someone else has the effect of repaying one’s karmic debts? If that’s the case, does it mean that the person being scolded may recite fewer Little Houses?

Answer: When a person becomes a victim of scolding or bullying, he is indeed repaying his karmic debts. In fact, this holds true even if the person is not someone who performs recitation, because being bullied results in the repayment of a substantial amount of one’s karmic debts. However, this is not a total payoff. What’s more? Throughout the process of repayment, bad karma is continuously being created which leads to the continuation of repayment in their next life.
