THE KEY TO EFFECTIVE PRAYER
Caller: Master Lu, during the first lunar month, the more recitation we perform, the better it is for us. Is that right?
Master Jun Hong Lu: As compared to normal days, the effect of recitation will be better during the first lunar month. The essence of performing recitation is to gain spiritual connection. How do we go about that? Being the first month of the lunar year, there will be more Bodhisattvas and Dharma Protectors around. As such, when one performs spiritual cultivation during this time, it is easier to connect with Bodhisattvas. That explains why their prayers will be efficacious.
