SHOULD WE WRITE THE DATE OF “OFFERING” OR “COMPLETION”

Question: Master Lu mentioned previously in one of the radio programs that for Eighty-eight Buddhas Great Repentance Self-Cultivation Form, we should fill the date of offering instead of completion. However, I had written the date of completion for those that I prepared previously, and I still have a few of these with the dates written. What should I do with them? Should I re-dot or leave  them as they are?

Answer:  For those Little Houses filled with the date of completion, you may leave them as they are. When you offer Little Houses in future, you should write the date of offering instead. The principle is similar to that of issuing a cheque. If the cheque is dated in advance and left aside for too long, the problem  of validity will arise. This is applicable to the Self-Reserved Little House too. Write the date when make offering but not earlier than this. But for those which you have written, it is fine.
