THE CORRECT SITTING POSITION TO PERFORM RECITATIONS
Question 5: Hi Master, is it alright to cross one’s ankles when seated to perform recitations? My mother has the tendency to do so during the course of her recitations.
Answer 5: That’s not a problem at all. That said, one should not cross one’s legs, that is to say, one should not place one leg on top of the other when performing recitations. Such a position is clearly not respectful to Bodhisattvas.
