YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT IN YOUR BUDDHIST PRACTICE IF YOU STILL HARBOUR HATRED
Master Jun Hong Lu: As a Buddhist practitioner, if you still have hatred in your heart, you will tend to enjoy scolding others. And, with this disposition, do you think you will make it in your Buddhist practice? In fact, it is when your cultivation is subpar that you will scold others. Oftentimes, such people will have the inclination to hurl verbal abuse at others, such as “Why are you such a useless piece of work? Why are you so unenlightened?”. You think that you are excellent in your Buddhist studies, and you believe that you are accomplished in your cultivation. When all you see is the dark side of others, resentment springs up from within you.
