POSSIBLE REASONS FOR THE LACK OF POSITIVE OUTCOME FROM THE RECITATION OF LITTLE HOUSES
Question: Some fellow practitioners have recited a substantial amount of Little Houses but household problems keep cropping up. How do they ascertain whether it is due to their hefty karmic obstacles, insufficient amount of Little Houses offered or questionable quality of their Little Houses?
Master Jun Hong Lu: It is difficult to pin down a specific reason. I can only teach you a few methods to gauge for yourself.
For example, you have been very serious in reciting these Little Houses and after offering them you see good effects. However, after a while, things change for the worse. In this case, it has definitely got to do with the quality of Little Houses you recite.
In the case where you feel nothing after offering Little Houses, it means your karmic obstacles are hefty. This calls for non-stop offering of Little Houses and recitation of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance.
If you can sense some reactions immediately after offering Little Houses, it means that the amount of Little Houses offered is insufficient. For that, you must keep offering.
