(Master Jun Hong Lu’s call-in radio program)
REFRAIN FROM CHECKING OR TALKING ON THE CELL PHONE WHILE PERFORMING RECITATION OF BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES
Caller: A Buddhist friend, while in a state of being half awake at around 7am, suddenly saw a line of words in his mind which stated: ‘If one checks their cell phone when performing recitation, they will have to recite the Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan or the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance.’ However, he couldn’t remember the number of times stated.
Master Jun Hong Lu: It is very bad if a person checks their cell phone when performing recitation as their mind will get distracted. They may either recite 21 times of the Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan or 7 times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance to address this.
Caller: Alright.
