WHICH ASPECT OF OUR KARMIC OBSTACLES SHOULD WE SEEK REPENTANCE ON WHEN RECITING THE EIGHTY-EIGHT BUDDHAS GREAT REPENTANCE ON THE FIRST DAY OF LUNAR NEW YEAR?
Caller: Hi Master, we can recite up to 87 times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance on first day of Chinese New Year*. In this regard, which aspect of our karmic obstacles should we repent on so that we can herald a smooth-sailing year ahead.
Master Jun Hong Lu: You should seek repentance on karmic obstacles relating to your misconduct. What’s most important is, you must be a kind person with good conscience and last but not least, be sincere in your repentance so that you can gain resonance with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Without a sincere heart, you will never be able to form a connection with Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Do you understand?
