WOULD IT HELP FOR JOB SEEKERS TO RECITE MORE LITTLE HOUSES?
Caller: If we are praying to get a job, does it mean that we should step up on our recitation of Little Houses? After all, Little Houses can help eliminate our karmic obstacles. I suppose it helps, wouldn’t it?
Master Jun Hong Lu: It will help but there is a subtle difference between eliminating one’s negative karma and to enhancing one’s worldly blessings. Little Houses is primarily meant to eliminate one’s negative karma and the more you can eliminate, the closer you are to success.
There is another aspect to it, which is enhancing one’s worldly blessings that can be achieved through the recitation of other Buddhist scriptures. However, the crux of the matter lies in the vows that you make. If you strongly desire to secure a job that seems so improbable to get, you should increase your worldly blessings which depends on the strength of your vows.
