THE IDEAL NUMBER OF LITTLE HOUSES TO BE OFFERED FOR CHILDREN WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES ON BUDDHAS’ BIRTHDAYS
Question: In Master’s latest radio programs, it is said that we may offer three, not exceeding five Little Houses daily, for children. Is this on a case by case basis? I’d like to ask about the maximum number of Little Houses that we can offer daily for children of different age groups, ranging from a few months old to their teens, who are suffering from autism, epilepsy and other mental disorders. What about on the 1st and 15th days of a lunar month and Buddhas’ birthdays?
Answer: For normal children below five, you can use this as a guideline: Offer three, not exceeding five Little Houses daily. For kids below five who are suffering from serious illnesses, you can offer up to seven Little Houses on normal days, but up to 21 Little Houses on the 1st and 15th days of a lunar month and Buddhas’ birthdays. When it comes to urgent cases for kids older than five, it is alright to offer up to 21 Little Houses a day.
