RECITE AT LEAST ONE LITTLE HOUSE DAILY
Caller: Master, during the 4 May totem reading program, you mentioned that ideally one Little House should be recited per day. If you only recite half of it, you are falling significantly short of the ideal. In previous radio programs, Master has also mentioned on a few occasions that it is best to recite at least one Little House every day. Master, is this because we live in a fast-paced era where everyone is hard pressed for time, and, hence the reminders for everyone to recite at least one Little House daily in addition to our homework?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes. It is best to have one empty Little House on hand. Place it inside a red cloth or in between the pages of a book, such as the notebook that you regularly use. Recite whenever time permits. What you can do is recite the easier mantras first, starting with Qi Fo Mie Zui Zhen Yan, followed by the Amitabha Pure Land Rebirth Mantra (Wang Sheng Zhou), and the Heart Sutra, before wrapping it up with the Great Compassion Mantra.
In this way, you will find that the process speeds up noticeably. It does not matter even if you recite in different orders. Remember, once the three mantras on the left of the Little House have been dotted, you will feel that it is close to completion. This will encourage you to speedily wrap it up with the recitation of the Great Compassion Mantra.
