DO NOT USE SCISSORS TO CUT LITTLE HOUSES INTO PIECES
Caller: Master, when we photocopied or dotted the Little Houses wrongly, we will use the paper shredder to shred them, but sometimes after shredding, there will still be some small pieces left behind, can we use a pair of scissors to cut it into smaller pieces?
Master Jun Hong Lu: That’s no good, do not do it. If you are “cutting Little Houses into pieces”, that would be a reflection on your personal behaviour. It is not advisable to use your hands in any way to continuously cut Dharma items. A paper shredder is a machine and it can shred all the papers into pieces within seconds. When we are cutting a Dharma item with scissors using our hands, we will give rise to various unnecessary thoughts. (Oh, I understand now. Thank you, Master!)
