THREE BASIS FOR PRAYERS TO BODHISATTVA TO BE EFFICACIOUS
Number 1: Karma from previous lives.
Number 2: Level of cultivation in present life. No matter how admirable a person’s cultivation was in his past lives, if he does only bad and nothing good in this present life, his prayers will not be efficacious.
Number 3: Sincerity.
With a sincere heart, one’s prayer will definitely be efficacious as he will be able to sense the energy field of Bodhisattva. On the contrary, if you do not perform recitation regularly, not a good person and have never performed any good deeds; when you are faced with some issues, you pray to Bodhisattva, hoping that your prayer will be instantly answered, don’t you think that will be a pipe dream?
Do not assume that Bodhisattva is not efficacious, when it is our capability and spiritual power which are lacking.
