OBSESSION WITH PETTY GAINS IS ALSO CONSIDERED GREED
Master Jun Hong Lu: The basic human needs include clothing, food, shelter, and transport. The word ‘transport’ here does not only refer to the motion of walking, but it also denotes the importance for one to walk the right path in life. How is the ‘right path’ defined in the human realm? It means we should not seek petty advantages at the expense of others. Take a look around us, those who always try to gain advantage over others will tend to err and end up setting their foot on the wrong path in life.
I’ve been reiterating this many times: Do not be obsessed with penny pinching. As your Master, it’s my responsibility to provide guidance so that all of you will get rid of your greed because if you continue to be so, you will end up becoming extremely petty and narrow-minded.
