HOW TO BE STRICT WHEN YOU DISCIPLINE CHILDREN
Caller: There is a two-and-a-half-year-old child who due to lack of awareness at such a tender age, is overbearing, unwilling to share, and likes to push others around. This child is particularly domineering, and especially poor in conduct. Can we as parents be strict with him by lecturing, disciplining, and beating him?
Master Jun Hong Lu: You can punish him! Make him kneel down or stand in a corner. Do not beat a child, as it is not good to do so. The only exception to punish via a beating is when you have a deep-rooted love for your child. In general, when the affinity between you and the child is not deep, and he does not have much affection for you, he will run away if you beat him.
