HOW ONE’S MENTALITY, ENERGY FIELD, MERITS AND KARMIC OBSTACLES ARE RELATED?
Caller: Master, may I know how one’s mentality, energy field, merits and karmic obstacles are related?
Master Jun Hong Lu: They have mutual-influence on each other. A person with positive energy is a person who is less troubled. For example, no one will give this person any trouble when he goes out to perform meritorious deeds. If there’s someone at home who stands in his way what meritorious deeds could he perform?
In addition, a person with negative energy will be experience misfortune. It’s hard for an unlucky person to accomplish anything. They may even distrust Bodhisattva for that matter. They will go, “Why have I not got what I prayed for after so long?” And their faith will lessen and the less faith they have, the more unlucky they become. There are many people who go, “This doctor has been treating my disease for so long to no avail. I give up. I am not going to undergo anymore treatment!” and, when they quit, they die.
Caller: Yes, their mentality is wrong.
