Caller: Master Lu, I am not eloquent, thus seldom get to introduce Buddhism to others. However, if I bring them along to attend the Master Lu’s Public Talks, is it considered to be helping people as well?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes of course, it’s also considered a good deed.
Caller: Do you still consider it to be helping people even though they are not Buddhist practitioners and have not started recitation, but are merely there to listen?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Do you expect a 100% success rate each time you try to introduce a girl to a bachelor? Do you not consider your act as a form of introduction? For example, if you recommend someone for a post in an organization, do you consider yourself as a referee? It goes without saying; you are definitely regarded as a referee.
