BEING UNPERTURBED IS TO LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE
Master Jun Hong Lu: To be unmoved in any given situation is a quality of a broad-minded person. We should not change when we encounter something; neither should be overly anxious. What’s the big deal? Since we have come to this world, we have to be mentally prepared for birth, ageing, sickness, death, having to part with our loved ones….
There are The Eight Sufferings in life – but that’s just an outline, there are hundreds kinds of other distresses in this world.
There are those who are deeply in love but are forced to be separated; no one is able to escape the clutches of birth, ageing, sickness and death; we are born alone, and no one will accompany us when we die, having to depart this world all alone. Think about it, that is all to this world. What is there for us to grasp at?
