SPECIAL NOTE ON THE BIRTHDAY OF MAHASTHAMAPRAPTA BODHISATTVA AND KSITIGARBHA BODHISATTVA
Question: On the birthday of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Great Power Bodhisattva, Da Shi Zhi Pusa) and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva (Earth Store Bodhisattva, Di Zhang Wang Pusa) this year (which falls on 13th and 29th August 2019 respectively), how many times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance (Lifo) can we recite? What is the maximum number of Little House can we offer?
Answer: You may recite 49 times of the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance (Lifo). As for the various types of Little Houses (for your karmic creditor, aborted/miscarried children, deceased ones whom you dreamed of and karmic creditor of your house), the total number should not exceed 49 pieces. However, for special cases, you may offer a maximum of 69 pieces. Little Houses recited for others are to be taken into account separately.
