WHAT VIRTUOUS DEEDS CAN ONE PERFORM?

Master Jun Hong Lu: If you are a person who always contemplates on the virtues of your inherent nature, your meritorious blessings will increase.

Many people ask me, “Master, besides performing recitation, offering Little Houses and helping others, what other virtuous deeds are there?”

Now, let me tell you what virtue is. When you think, “He is in such dire straits, I am a Buddhist practitioner with Guan Yin Bodhisattva, I am a kind person. I need to help him.”

With mere words like these which stem from your conscience and the line of thought of your inherent nature, your thinking is transformed entirely. And this is exactly how you will garner meritorious blessings. Do you understand now?

As long as your intention is to help others and practise compassion towards others, you will have resolved all your concerns about virtuous.
