TRANSFERRING MERITORIOUS BLESSINGS TO FAMILY MEMBERS
Question: When we transfer merits to our family members, under what circumstances will it be effective or ineffective?
Answer: If your parents are in ill-health, transferring merits to them is an act of filial piety and a positive gesture. Hence, they will be able to benefit from the transfer. Conversely, if your parents were seeking success in their undertakings, wealth or to have a successful career as an official, then it won’t be effective. If your father was at fault to begin with, do you think transferring your merits to him to help him win the lawsuit would help?
