WRAP THE UMBRELLA THAT WE CARRY IN OUR BAGS WITH RED CLOTH
Question: Master Lu has advised us against carrying an umbrella in our bags as it may result in dispersal of our affinities with others. If we need to do so on a daily basis, can we wrap it in a piece of red cloth?
Answer: Yes, you may do so. In the Chinese language, the word ‘umbrella’ and ‘dispersal’ are homophones. Hence, it is considered a bad omen.
