DO NOT TALK ABOUT SCRIPTURES IN WASHROOM
Caller: Many Buddhist friends will phone me to enquire about Little House and daily recitation. Once I was in the washroom when someone phoned, very eager to find out more about daily recitation and the Buddhist scriptures. As I was not able to leave the washroom immediately, I spoke to him and, in the course of the conversation, I brought up the name of some Buddhist scriptures, is this considered disrespectful?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Indeed it is disrespectful and not the right thing to do. You should just tell him, “Please call me back in 10 minutes”. Do not talk about it in the washroom. You should not have taken the call in the first place while you were in there.
