WHEN OFFERING HEART INCENSE, PAY RESPECT TO ALL BODHISATTVAS YOU MAKE OFFERINGS TO ON YOUR ALTAR
Caller: Master Lu, we are supposed to visualise our altar back home when offering Heart Incense while we are on business trips. Let’s say for example, we have made offerings to six Bodhisattvas on the altar at home. When we offer the Heart Incense, do we pay respect to the six Bodhisattvas or should we just do so to Guan Yin Bodhisattva?
Master Jun Hong Lu: You should offer the Heart Incense to all six Bodhisattvas. You have to respect all Bodhisattvas. This is what offering the Heart Incense is about – pay respect to not one, but all.
