FIVE METHODS TO CULTIVATE FORBEARANCE: COMPASSIONATE FORBEARANCE
Master Jun Hong Lu: The last method of forbearance is “Compassionate Forbearance”. At this stage, you regard yourself as a Bodhisattva. Hence, in times of adversities or humiliation, not only do you not hate others, you are compassionate towards them, and you feel that they are really pitiable.
When someone is scolding you, you tell yourself, “He is so mad, I hope his heart and blood pressure can take it. He is making such baseless accusations and is offending many, he is so pitiable. The ignorant will get angry and they are the most pathetic”. With this mentality, not only will you not hate him, you will take pity on him.
