MAHASTHAMAPRAPTA BODHISATTVA: WHEN LOVE TURNS INTO HATRED, KARMIC CAUSES TO THE THREE LOWER REALMS ARE SOWN
Master Jun Hong Lu: Just like many other Bodhisattvas, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva (Great Strength Bodhisattva) is most concerned about a particular type of love, that is, the desire for interpersonal affection. This is not solely confined to the romantic love between men and women, it also covers the love between parents and children, as well as the love between friends.
Many Bodhisattvas are deeply concerned because once humans fall into the abyss of love, it would become next to impossible to extricate themselves. Think about the many individuals, who ended up taking their own lives, losing their sense of rationality as they were caught up in the web of love.
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva said, “When love turns into hatred, the seeds to the three lower realms are sown”.
You must remember that love can eventually turn into hatred. What are the seeds to the three lower realms? The three lower realms are namely the animal realm, the hungry ghosts realm, and the hell realm. The karmic causes are sown when love turns into hatred. Many people fail to get the love they yearn for, so they get into conflict with others, and eventually being lured into committing bad deeds leading them to hell.
