TO RECOGNISE THE FRUIT OF KARMA THROUGH THE SOWING OF CAUSE
Master Jun Hong Lu: You claim that you aspire to be a Buddha, and yet you do not wish to abandon your evil thoughts and deeds. How is that possible?
If you are a monkey but you aspire to be a human, why don’t you just stand up and start walking? Why don’t you cut off that tail of yours? But here you are saying, “It hurts, it’s hard to stand up and walk”. In that case, how can you become a human?
If you aspire to be a Bodhisattva, how is it possible if you do not eliminate all the greed and hatred in you? That is why you are here in this world and you are generating more karma!
For non-Buddhist practitioners, they think they are just living their lives. In reality, they are just creating karma!
What kind of karma are they generating? Sometimes, good karma, sometimes evil karma and they are not even aware of it, thinking that this is just part and parcel of life! In reality, these different types of karmas lay the foundation for the karmic fruit they are bound to reap in the future.
