Master Jun Hong Lu: 15th day of the 8th lunar month is also a festive day in the Celestial realm. It’s a day to call for reunion with the hope of bringing happiness to everyone, even if full attendance may not be achievable. On this occasion, we should stay home to perform recitations, and pray for peace and reunification for the family. In fact, it is more efficacious to pray for reunification during Mid-Autumn Festival as compared to 1st and 15th of each lunar month. However, many people choose to throw a feast with non-vegetarian food. As a result, after the festival, they will experience loss of loved ones at home. Therefore, you must insist on not consuming live seafood.
