DILIGENT PRACTITIONER MAY CALL UPON BODHISATTVA TO BLESS HIM FURTHER IN TIMES OF NEED
Caller:
An elderly mother was doing recitation when she lifted her head involuntarily to cast a look at the sky. She saw a fellow practitioner stretching near the sun in the heaven. Bodhisattva had sent her a mental message telling her that the fellow practitioner is very diligent in propagating Dharma and has helped many critically ill people to liberate lives. He has been silently helping others and had accrued many merits. Bodhisattva told the elderly mother that should the need arise, the fellow practitioner can pray to Bodhisattva for blessings to strengthen his energies. Is this so, Master Lu?
Master Jun Hong Lu:
Yes. When the fellow practitioner stretched himself, it was in fact an indication that he was tired already. Think about it, don’t we do some stretching when we felt tired after completing our chores? That is it.
