CONTENTMENT IS THE WAY, GRATITUDE IS VIRTUE

Master Jun Hong Lu: Contentment is the Way, gratitude is virtue. Only when you are content, will you search for salvation in Buddhism and seek the path to Buddhahood.

Being grateful towards others is a virtue. How does one become virtuous? It is when he is content and thankful for what he has.

A virtuous person is always content, and a content person will always bask in joy and happiness; a virtuous person will always be grateful towards those whom they cross paths with; he would not jostle nor fight with others – something that only the ungrateful ones will do. Think about the many people who have chipped in to help you in your journey of life, do you feel indebted to them or have you totally forgotten about them? We need to learn to be grateful.
