THE HEART SUTRA IS A CONDENSED VERSION OF THE DIAMOND SUTRA

Master Jun Hong Lu:
Buddhist practitioners should recite more of the Heart Sutra as a means to regulate their body and mind, and to ‘illuminate and see the emptiness of the Five Aggregates’.

The Heart Sutra is essentially a condensed version of the Diamond Sutra, with great wisdom embedded in every character of the Heart Sutra and thus, it is important to be mindful when reciting each of these words.

The verse ‘form is emptiness, emptiness is form’ refers to the cycle of rebirth, which essentially urges us not to dwell on things in life. If you know that what is not in your possession now will be yours in the future, and what you own now will be lost over time, will you still be sad? Don’t you think this is what wisdom is about?
