PRAYER FOR NON-DISCIPLES PRIOR TO RECITING THE CODE OF CONDUCT FOR DISCIPLES
Question: For Buddhist practitioners who are not disciples of Master Jun Hong Lu, is it alright for them to state the following prayer right before reciting the Code of Conduct for Disciples:
“I, <your full name>, have yet to become a disciple of Master Jun Hong Lu, but I hope to become one soon. From now onwards, I will adhere to the Code of Conduct for Disciples.”
Answer: Instead of saying that you are not a disciple, you can state, “May Guan Yin Bodhisattva bless me. I will abide by the Code of Conduct for Disciples in the future”. Bodhisattva will know that you have yet to become a disciple.
