IS REPAYMENT OF KARMIC DEBT BASED ON A SPECIFIC TIME FRAME?
Caller: Is there a specific time frame for repayment of karmic debts? For example, a karmic creditor may demand someone to repay the karmic debts over two years, causing him to fall ill. Regardless if he offers any Little House, his karmic debts will be considered cleared once the two-year time frame is up. Is that how it works, i.e. based on a specific time frame?
Master Jun Hong Lu: That’s right. It is time-specific, but some karmic debts are perpetual. As for the latter, the person may have to repay over three, four or five lifetimes. Perpetuity is also a measurement of time.
Caller: Yes. For example, if the time frame is supposed to be two years, and we continue to offer Little Houses to them, recite the Eighty-Eight Buddhas Great Repentance, make great vows, perform life liberation, and recitation – by doing these, would the time frame be shortened automatically?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes, it will.
