WOULD DAUGHTERS RECEIVE DIRECT KARMIC RETRIBUTIONS OWING TO SEXUAL MISCONDUCT COMMITTED BY THEIR MOTHERS?
Caller: How are you, Master? You once said that when mothers commit sexual misconduct, their sons will have to bear the karmic retribution. A Buddhist practitioner is interested to know, what about in the case where there are only girls in the family, would the karmic retribution end up being borne by the daughters?
Master Jun Hong Lu: Yes. It cuts both ways. Sexual misconduct by any parent – be it the father or the mother – will end up being shouldered by their offspring, regardless of gender. That said, for mothers with sons, the sons will receive direct karmic retribution. In cases where there are only female offspring, their daughters will suffer the same.
