CULTIVATE THE WORLD-TRANSCENDING TEACHINGS
Master Jun Hong Lu: If you cultivate the ‘world-transcending teachings’, you will look more attractive as time passes. Conversely, if you practise for the sake of worldly gains, your looks will not see any significant changes. Do you understand?
What does it mean by ‘To cultivate the world-transcending teachings’?
It means your ultimate aim is to make it to heaven.
If you decide upon setting this aim for yourself, you will not be worried, distressed, or saddened by worldly things. This is when your facial appearance will keep getting better.
To quote an example, your face is taut whenever you are troubled. If you can reframe your thoughts and think, “I am willing to let go of just about anything, as long as I can make it to heaven in future”.
Think about it, if you are ‘trouble-free’, won’t there be less wrinkles on your face? If you have less wrinkles than others, won’t you appear younger than others?
If you don’t bicker or jostle with others, won’t your face appear more dignified? Therefore, the higher one’s spiritual cultivation is, the better he is at thinking things through.
