WHY DO PARENTS’ NEGATIVE KARMA FALL UPON THEIR CHILDREN
(Q): We bear our own karmic consequences. Why do some of the karmic consequences resulting from parents’ bad deeds manifest on their children? Master Lu, please enlighten us.
(A): It depends on the karmic cause. For example, if you have seriously injured someone’s child, your child may receive the retribution. However, this child would also have received his dire punishment in the Realm of Hell before he is reincarnated, do you understand? Why do you think some parents felt the pain themselves? This kind of retribution is not as immense because it inflicts more pain to hurt your child than hurting you. This is karma. When you cause harm to another person’s child, he will hurt your child in return so that you will suffer more.
